Fleetwood Transport Festival 2007- Just Tram-Tastic !!
Despite the committee having a real battle early in the year to attract new blood into the organising committee, we all managed (with a lot of effort and hard work) to put the event together.
After 23 years it can get a bit set in its format and it was decided that we would incorporate some newer vehicles and attractions into the event
We were fortunate to have the Raleigh Bicycle exhibition for the first time, and it proved to be very popular with both young and not so young visitors.
Among the vehicles attending were a DeLorean (of Back to the Future fame), a Custom Monster truck, The MG owners club, and many more.
BBC came along and ran a live broadcast of the Politics show from the top deck of Rally Control . Making full use of the event as a backdrop it put the event into a great many homes that day.
The weather last summer played havoc with many events not only in Lancashire but throughout the country, Even though the event is held on the streets of Fleetwood we were constantly monitoring the situation with some trepidation, fortunately the weather held for us.
